Therapy
Children, Adolescents & Parents
As a Clinical Psychologist I offer evidence-based psychological therapy with a focus on building resilience, strengthening emotional wellbeing, and supporting positive change. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, low mood, emotional regulation, social challenges, or parenting stress, I work alongside families with understanding, practical strategies, and authenticity.
Appointments are available with a Mental Health Care Plan, through NDIS (self-managed or plan-managed), private health insurance, or self-funded.
Therapy starts with understanding
“What happens in therapy?”
In my work with children, teenagers, and families, compassion comes first. Together, as we talk, we develop a shared understanding of your child’s experiences and the challenges they are facing. Therapy is grounded in gaining clarity — not just about the difficulties themselves, but about what may be maintaining them. From there, I draw on evidence-based therapies to treat a range of emotional and behavioural concerns. Particularly when working with young children, I incorporate play and creativity to make therapy fun and engaging. Every approach is tailored to your child and family to ensure the work we do is meaningful, practical, and truly effective for lasting change.
How I can help
I hold a Master of Psychology (Clinical) and am committed to using evidence-based approaches to support individuals in overcoming challenges and building lasting resilience. My therapeutic style integrates Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based therapies, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy-informed techniques, and the Circle of Security Parenting program. I also teach practical strategies such as progressive muscle relaxation, social skills training, and emotion regulation techniques, tailoring these tools to each individual’s needs.
I take a warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental approach, carefully adapting therapy to the developmental stage, strengths, and unique circumstances of every child, teenager, or parent I work with. I recognise that each person brings their own perspective, values, and family dynamics to the therapy process.
As a mother of three young children, I understand firsthand the practical realities and emotional ups and downs of raising children. This lived experience, alongside my professional expertise, allows me to approach therapy with genuine empathy for the pressures families face day to day.
I work with individuals experiencing:
Anxiety & Panic Attacks (including Social Anxiety & Separation Anxiety)
Neurodiversity - Autism and ADHD
Depressed Mood & Low Self-Esteem
Anger Management & Behavioural Concerns
Trauma
Relationship and Attachment Difficulties
School-Related Challenges (School Refusal, Friendship Difficulties)
Sleep Problems
Emotional Regulation Issues
Parenting challenges and Distress
Whether you’re seeking support for yourself or your child, I am here to help.
